Dr. Anna Pfeiffer
Available Services
TLC Animal Care offers a wide range of services for you and your furry family members. We provide high quality compassionate nose to tail care with a comfortable "small town" style that will make your pet feel right at home.
Routine Wellness
We want your pet to be in the best possible health from the first baby visit to the very last breath. Routine wellness and preventative care is an extremely important part of overall health management for your pet. We create a wellness plan uniquely designed for each pet, which includes vaccinations, parasite prevention, health screens, thorough physical examinations, lab work, and more. By building a wellness relationship with you and your pet we can work together to provide the best quality of life we can for your furry family member.
Surgical Services
We know that anesthesia and surgery, whether routine or emergency, can be scary for pets and their people. We do our best to make sure our patients are as safe and comfortable as possible when they see us for a surgical procedure. Each pet receives an individual anesthetic and pain management plan, and is monitored carefully during their procedure. We use warm air blankets, soothing pheromone sprays, yummy post-op canned food, and cozy bedding to help make a surgical experience as comfortable as we can for our patients.
We offer a wide range of surgical procedures, including spay/neuter, dental surgery, wound treatment, abdominal surgery, bladder surgery, amputation, reconstructive surgery, lump removals, and more.
Dental Care
Dr. Andi is passionate about dental care and believes that dental health is an extremely valuable part of whole health. We pride ourselves on providing high quality dental care at an affordable price. Each dental patient receives our individualized anesthetic plan, IV fluids, careful monitoring, dental radiographs, complete dental exam and charting, scale/polish, and fluoride treatment. Some pets require tooth extractions, and these are preformed with excellent pain management and with the use of our brand new IM3 dental station to make the extractions quick and precise.
Palliative Care and End of Life Services
End of life is not something we want to think about when it comes to our pets, but unfortunately it is something we all eventually deal with as pet owners. Our goal is to keep quality of life for the entire family at the center of our hospice and palliative care plans. We will work with you to help keep your sick or elderly pet as comfy as possible for as long as possible. When it is time to say goodbye, we will help take away as much fear and stress for you and your pet as we can. Our end of life procedures are designed to be gentle and focused on creating a sweet and loving experience for you and our pet. We offer in clinic or in home services, and will do our best to provide end of life in the most comfortable environment possible for each client and patient. We work with West Coast Pet Memorial to offer exceptional cremation service. We take our role in end of life extremely seriously, and we are honored to help you and your pet in this journey.
Health and Travel Certificates
Traveling with your pet can be stressful, especially when paperwork is involved. We use Global Vet Link to swiftly provide full color interstate health certificates for dogs, cats, and almost any other pet that will be traveling with you. We will work with you in more complicated travel situations such as international travel to help you and your pet arrive at your destination safe and sound with minimal stress.
TNR
TNR stands for "Trap, Neuter, Release." Feral cats are trapped, given medical care, vaccinated, and spayed/neutered before being released back to their colonies. TNR is the only humane and effective solution to feral cat overpopulation, and Dr. Andi and her team are proud to be a part of this program. TLC Animal Care works closely with Whitman County Humane Society to provide this amazing service, as well as volunteering monthly at a large TNR in Benewah County. For more information on TNR in Whitman County, please contact the Whitman County Humane Society at 509-332-3422 or visit www.whitmanpets.org for more information.
